On 19th and 20th March 2017 Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) in cooperation Baghdad Women Association held two Awareness session on Women Peace and Security of the Iraqi National plan (INAP) 1325 in Ministry of Labor social affairs and Ministry of Education. The sessions tackled the Types of violence, throughout and afterward conflict, they considerate on sexual violence as tactic of war and genocide, The UNSCR 1325 and its Contributions to promote the role of women, as an active actor in peace building as well in protection and prevention. After that the participants were divided into 2 groups to develop recommendations and tools needed to promote an active women’s political participation. As well the tools for prevention and protection. 

On Saturday 18th March 2017, Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) in cooperation with Al-Fajr Center carried out a workshop entitled "Women, Peace and Security" in a series of awareness workshops on UN Security Council Resolution 1325 . A summary of the concepts of gender, an introduction to the importance of UN Security Council Resolution 1325, which concerns the participation of women in the peace process for the outlying areas or suffering from armed conflicts as Iraq is one of them have been presented. Then the emergency plan was presented and discussed with the attendees as they had a good interaction with the plan's items. And finally the workshop ended up by writing some recommendations.  

On Wednesday 19th April 2017 Alliance 1325 member have a meeting with Mr. Mohammed Salman Al-Saadi, Adviser to the Prime Minister for National Reconciliation as part of the CSTF 1325. The purpose of the meeting was to cooperate with the reconciliation committee and ensuring the active participation of civil society and women as a national vision in line with the principles of plans and programs of the 1325 INAP in the liberated areas for women survivors and minorities and Taking the necessary measures to ensure protection and commitment to human rights in the Nineveh plain and other areas.
